Questions

1. What stood out or challenged you in the passage today?

2. How was Egypt dependent on the Israelites? Are there parallels with modern slavery? How about buying products just because they are cheap regardless of how the workers may have been treated?

3. How does Pharaoh try to prevent a rebellion? How does this affect Moses?

4. How will YHWH deal with Pharaoh? What does it mean to have a “strong arm” if God is a spirit?

5. What does YHWH promise to do for the Israelites?

6. Why does a genealogy suddenly appear in 6:14-17? Are there some hints as to what God has been doing and will do?

7. Read the passage again and note anything else that stands out or challenges you. Pray that the Holy Spirit would enable you to change and be more like Jesus and demonstrate the unity we have in him.
