What stood out or challenged you in the passage today?
Although the people were thirsty [v3], why was it so wrong to grumble? Do we find ourselves being discontent and complaining?
YHWH commands Moses to strike a rock and water will come out of it [v6]. Read Numbers 20:9-13. What is different here that Moses and Aaron are punished so severely?
Who was the rock [1 Corinthians 10:1-5]?
Read Psalm 95:7-11 and/or Hebrews 3:7-9. How is this story a warning to us
What does Moses holding up the rod demonstrate to heaven and earth?
