What stood out or challenged you today?
God commanded the use of images. e.g. Exodus 37:7-8, 1 Kings 6:29. Why does the second commandment forbid the making of images [Exodus 20:4-6, Deuteronomy 5:8-10]?
At Elim there were 12 springs of water and 70 palm trees? The number twelve is a reference to Israel and seventy to the nations. But what did water and trees together represent? Looking for clues? Go back to Loukios’ preach…
When would having a Christmas tree definitely be wrong? Should we have any cautions? See Romans 14:22.
What is the “professional weaker brother”? See Philippians 2:3. How might we guard ourselves against such sinful behaviour?
Anas and Loukios have brought to us the early use of altars by the patriarchs and early Israel. These were NOT altars for sacrifice but MEMORIALS. What memorials, or reminders might we use today?
